Vista - I can't copy and paste from Works

Till today I was able to copy and paste items from my works word processor
into my Windows Mail emails. Now when I use this function I get the message -
"Windows Mail has stopped working" and "Last time you ran Windows Mail it did
not exit correctly."

What can I do to get this function working again? What have I done wrong? Am
I being punished for swearing at my computer?

Since Windows Mail has not been improved since about July 2006,
each day it falls a little farther behind in the compatibility race.
I suggest upgrading to Windows Live Mail:

I upgraded to Windows Live Mail but I still have the same problem. When I
copy and past text from Works into an email, the whole email grays out and I
get the message: "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly."

I can send what I have in Works as an attachment; I prefer to copy and paste
the material though. It is really strange that this function just quit
spontaneously. Do you think if I threw my computer out of the window it would
help?
