Vista Tutorial - email problem

Yesterday I could get my email; today I can't. Only change I know of is
adding Norton Security. Could that do this?

Disable email scanning by your anti-virus application. It provides no
additional protection, it may be causing the problem, and even Symantec says
it's not necessary:
