If you do have IE8, UN-install it. It will revert back to IE7. How do I uninstall or remove Internet Explorer 8? http://support.microsoft.com/kb/957700 ( 3 ). What anti-spyware applications (other than Defender)? What third-party firewall (if any)? Were any of these applications running in the background when you installed IE8? Has a Norton or McAfee application ever been installed on this machine (e.g., a free-trial version that came preinstalled when you bought it)? Is "Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 7 for Vista (KB969897)" listed in Installed Updates? Just asking for now!! Do NOT use such a Restore Point yet!! => Do you have an available Restore Point which predates the install of IE8? | | Re: I cannot open e-mail attachments Oef i found the real causes : it was my AVG 8.5 , email scanner was inactive and corrupt ! After an update was it OK !
