Vista - SMTP problem, cant send emails to craigs list

I've always had problems with emails to and from craigs list. Its like /i
need to download some craigs list translator program or sign up and pay to
use it, or some other bull to deal with. Anyway I've been through 2 computers
and eah with their own problems, I've had a toshiba, I can sent outgoing
mail, but I can read craigs list emails, this computer is the same except I
can send outgoing emials to people on craigs list or use windows email, I use
AOL and yahoo equally, I prefere to use AOL to respond to craigs list because
thats where I send my junk mail. my email address is rapdogztor@xxxxxx and
it wont let me send outgoing emails. The error message loks like this:

The host 'SMTP' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the
server name correctly.
Subject 'Grant help, new innovative technology concerning energy
conservation and transportation', Account: 'pop3', Server: 'SMTP', Protocol:
SMTP, Port: 465,
Secure(SSL): Yes, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D

I do not have an account with ATNT, and I can log on to get the correct
outgoing port, Im using 465 because someone else asked a similar question and
thats what the helper told them, or so I hear. I turned on the verification
thing, so now what?

You didn't enter the correct server names.

You're not even close to having your AOL account configured in Windows Mail
correctly. See Dave's reply.
