error message - can't send but can receive emails

Can't send but can receive emails. I have a yahoo plus account which I set
up exactly like they said. this allowed for emails to come in but still
can't send out. Below is the error message. Bryant

Re: error message - can't send but can receive emails

You didn't set it up per Yahoo's instructions. The port should be 465
instead of 25, and SSL should be enabled. For the complete settings
see

Re: error message - can't send but can receive emails

Gary, Thanks so much for all your help. I would like to think I am getting
closer. Did as you suggested by using the correct ports (as yahoo plus
suggested) but still getting the same error message mentioning port 25. I
changed this setting under the "Advanced" tab under "Properties". I checked
secure connection SSL also. Do I need to reboot for it to take effect. I
would not think. thanks for your time again.

Move that 'Mcintosh MC2500 - $600 message from your Outbox to the Drafts
folder.

Try sending a message to yourself, if it now works recompose the original
'Mcintosh MC2500 - $600 mail and send it.

Re: error message - can't send but can receive emails

Thanks Mac,
This worked. I'm sure there is a good reason why it wouldn't allow me to
send messages until the outbox was empty. I would have never guessed.
Thanks again.

Re: error message - can't send but can receive emails

The old message had the old (incorrect) settings associated with it.
