| Vista Ultimate x64 | Windows Mail folders: 1 email duplicates itself over all others in a folder Emails are sent and arrive in my Windows Mailbox fine. I then create a folder and drag them to that folder no problems. When I create a subfolder however, and start dragging emails into the subfolder I find that the 1st email is fine but every subsequent one has been corrupted. That is to say that in each case the email content is erased and replaced with a duplication of the 1st email in that subfolder. Go figure. The email titles don't change so if you open the subfolder you wouldn't realise what has happened. It is only when you open each successive email that it becomes apparent that the content of every email has become identical. Please help!? Windows Mail folders: 1 email duplicates itself over all others in a folder, thereby erasing email content of all others This was previously posted by two others and I have exactly the same problem. How to fix? |

| Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: Windows Mail folders: 1 email duplicates itself over all others in a folder Thanks for the advice. I tried the database repair functions in the WMUtil program to no avail. Pretty pathetic that Windows Mail has this problem. I downloaded Windows Live Mail but am unfamiliar with the program and will have to work with it. It's a sad state of affairs that Microsoft has not addressed this problem in Windows Mail. |

| | Re: Windows Mail folders: 1 email duplicates itself over all others in a folder Microsoft stopped all development work on Windows Mail in July 2006 when it was decided to switch to the Windows Live platform. For that reason I recommend that anyone having serious problems with Windows Mail switch over to Windows Live Mail. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "Elk Grove Bill" <guest@xxxxxx-email.com> wrote in message news:e7717777375542cab95c3bf78f49613f@xxxxxx-gateway.com... | Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: Windows Mail folders: 1 email duplicates itself over all others in a folder Thanks Gary, I had no idea that Microsoft had basically switched over to Windows Live Mail. If it solves my problem I'll switch over. Thanks again. |
