| | Vista - Need help with Windows Mail sending email |

| 07-14-2009 | #1 |
| | Need help with Windows Mail sending email I am using Vista/ Windows Mail with no issues for a year or so and recently I can no longer send email. There is no error message but I looked into it a little closer after not getting replies from several email I had sent out. The email go into my out box and appear to leave as normal when sent. I have tried emptying my out box, checked all settings with my ISP, and read a lot of post with out seeing anything else to try. Any help would be appreciated. Jason |

| | RE: Need help with Windows Mail sending email Are they still sitting in your out box? If they are, then they have not been sent. If they are still there, try sending from there, this happens to me from time to time and this always works for me. | | RE: Need help with Windows Mail sending email no, they leave my out box like they have been sent. I started to think something was wrong after not getting replies from multiple email. They are not stuck in my out box, I deleted my antivirus to see if they were being held up by the out bound scanning. Nothing has helped so far. They appear to be sent, they go to my sent mail folder, but they are never recieved by the person I send them to. "sherbert" wrote: Quote: > Are they still sitting in your out box? | | RE: Need help with Windows Mail sending email I would suggest this is a problem with your ISP and not your computer. Have you been in touch with them to see if there is a problem their end? | | Re: Need help with Windows Mail sending email What happens when you send an email to yourself? Does it arrive in your Inbox? Is it just one recipient who never receives from you, or multiple recipients, or all recipients? Which antivirus did you 'delete'? (Hopefully you used the proper uninstall feature instead of just deleting it.) -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "Jason" <Jason@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:89C2972A-AAEC-40C2-8788-AE28E0F2D261@xxxxxx Quote: > no, they leave my out box like they have been sent. | | Re: Need help with Windows Mail sending email I am have the same problem. It just started yesterday and have talked with the internet provider. Spent an hour on the phone, did all the troubleshooting that they can think of with no luck. He figures that it is in a new update with Vista. | | Re: Need help with Windows Mail sending email Sorry, Yes we tried to send email to ourself. No it didn't work. It didn't even show up at webmail. And it appears to be all outgoing mail. We pinged the server and the signal is getting through. | | Re: Need help with Windows Mail sending email A cup of coffee does wonders in the morning. I went to my web mail settings, found that the setting in "Spam Filter" was on "Delete Suspected Junk Email". Not the setting that I had tagged before. I changed it to "Tag Suspected Junk Email". I am now able to send emails again. "Daryl" wrote: Quote: > Sorry, Yes we tried to send email to ourself. No it didn't work. It didn't > even show up at webmail.
