Microsoft Office OUTLOOK WEB ACCESS w/VISTA

I have access to WEB OUTLOOK at home. In the message area to type text, is a
little box with an 'X" in it. The entire message box is highlighted in blue
and prevents me from typing text. This error also occurs when I reply to an
e-mail.

Please advise.

This sounds like it's likely an IE7 issue. You might want to post this on
their NG.

RE: Microsoft Office OUTLOOK WEB ACCESS w/VISTA

Follow these steps to fix:

1: Login to OWA
2. Goto the Options Page
3. Under E-mail Security, click Download
4. Save the setupmcl.exe file to the C: drive of your Vista PC and execute
it.
Be sure to be logged on as an Administrator.
5. Refresh OWA and all the activex components that are required for OWA will
beging to load. Install all the activex components when requested by the IE
prompts.

This should work.

Re: Microsoft Office OUTLOOK WEB ACCESS w/VISTA

you have to have the latest patch for OWA on Exch2007 that provides a newer
S/MIME.... mine were broken on IE7 until i patched my 2003 server and then
reinstalled the SMIME component from that patched server...

what was nice is that our work exchange owa servers did NOT have this patch
and it allowed me to use work based OWA again
