| | Vista - File Association Annoyance -- wps |

| | File Association Annoyance -- wps Hi -- Can anyone tell me how I can get a .wps file (MS Works) to open directly in Windows Mail? I have the file association configured and everything works perfectly if I first save the attachment to a folder then double-click it, but it is annoying to have to do this. A friend had the same problem with .pps files (Power Point) which would not open directly in Windows Mail even though she had the Power Point Viewer installed and a proper file association. There was a a registry edit on the Microsoft site that fixed that nicely and I am hoping that someone knows of something similar for .wps files. Possibly I could improvise but I'm timid about experimenting with the registry. Thanks. |
