Emails stuck in outbox..

Ive read many discussion on this...and found out about the download which I
did and it says "Update does not apply to your system" Someone else had this
same exact problem named Marie...But, I couldnt find where it said how to fix
the problem...I use the 32 download, can I try the other one ? My computer
is 32 byts I found that on the computer..Then also tried to change that 25 to
the 587 ( as I read of here also ) and now the message says " one or more
messages in your outbox do not have a valid acct.specified would you like to
use your default acct to send messages...I have deleted this acct. and
started over many times and still end up with the same results..
And help would be great...Im not very computer savy....Thanks Michele

Re: Emails stuck in outbox..

There is a message in your Outbox you can't delete?
I assume the reason the Microsoft fix (KB941090) can't be applied
is because that fix was also included in Vista's SP1, which you should
already have.
Try dragging that Outbox message to the Deleted Items folder; if that
fails, drag it to the Recycle Bin. If that fails, try running the various repair
functions in the WMUtil program: http://www.oehelp.com/WMUtil

If no improvement, upgrade to Windows Live Mail:
http://download.live.com/wlmail

Re: Emails stuck in outbox..

That's different. It's best not to post under a misleading subject title.

After emptying the Outbox, send a new test message.
If you get an error message when you try to send, right-click on your
error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here.

Re: Emails stuck in outbox..

Okay.. I did what you said...And I didn't think I was using a misleading
subject, I was just trying to respond to a craigslist ad... And I was
sending my dad a message just saying " test ' to see if that one would go
though...So, when I deleted everything and wrote a new response...I didnt
get any error message to copy to you, it now came up for me to verify my
windows live sign in..And the message is just sitting in the outbox...I use
windows live and I want the windows mail to work also for responding to
things like graigslist, and other sites...I dont know how else it works
without both emails..I sure hope this makes sense to you... Because I dont
know how else to explain it.

Re: Emails stuck in outbox..

In the Servers tab of the account's properties, is "My server requires
authentication" checked?

Re: Emails stuck in outbox..

In that same window there should be a Cancel button. Click on Cancel,
and it should produce an error message which you can copy and post here.

Before you do that, is Verizon your ISP? If so, make sure your
mail account is set up as specified in these instructions:
http://www22.verizon.com/Residential...ionsOne/120516
