Vista - Opening e-mails and message received request.

All my received emails are white envelopes, even before I open them. I
believe they should be yellow till received. Any ideas?
Also I have requested "read receipt" for emails but it is not happening.
Worked fine in Outlook Express but this vista outlook does not do as it is
asked!!

Tools > Message Rules > Mail > under the Select the Actions column, see if "
Mark as Read " has been checked. If yes, UN-check it.

Read Receipts :
It is not happening if your recipients do not enable the receipts option :
Tools > Options > Receipts. Under Returning Read Receipts : If your
recipients put a check mark on the 1st box.
You have no control over this matter. It's up to the recipients.
