Re: error 0x800CCC0E

Disable email scanning by your anti-virus application. It provides no
additional protection, it may be causing the problem, and even Symantec says
it's not necessary:

<QP>
Disabling Email Scanning does not leave you unprotected against viruses that
are distributed as email attachments. Norton AntiVirus Auto-Protect scans
incoming files as they are saved to your hard drive, including email and
email attachments. Email Scanning is just another layer on top of this. To
make sure that Auto-Protect is providing the maximum protection, keep
Auto-Protect enabled and run LiveUpdate regularly to ensure that you have
the most recent virus definitions.

Re: error 0x800CCC0E

That's not the complete error message.
Right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here.
We can't do much troubleshooting without the complete error message.

Re: error 0x800CCC0E

Try the server names here...
(TalkTalk seems to be behind the times and doesm't have instructions for
Windows Mail)

http://www.talktalk.co.uk/help/questions/TEC_01_14

Why are you using SSL and port 995?
Try unchecking SSL and change the incoming port back to 110.
