Vista - host could not be found???

it always says this
The host 'hotmail' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered
the server name correctly.
Subject 'Form posted from Windows Internet Explorer.', Account: 'hotmail',
Server: 'hotmail', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error:
11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D

and this
Account: 'hotmail', Server: 'hotmail', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110,
Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC17


how do i fix this thanks

NB: Set Outgoing server (SMTP) to Port 587, not Port 25!

Use port 587 rather than port 25 for the SMTP server.

Although it accepts the newer Live.com addresses, Windows Mail's
account setup wizard is hard-coded to reject Hotmail and MSN addresses.
To get around that, when you enter your Hotmail/MSN email address initially,
use a fake one, such as me@xxxxxx. After the account setup is complete,
go back and correct your email address.
