| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Pasting into Windows Mail I'm trying to paste a word document into a new email message only to have windows mail shut itself down. I tried a plain text document, but the results were the same. What's wrong with the software? |

| | Re: Pasting into Windows Mail Instead of pasting, try attaching that document. Windows Mail has some weaknesses which are aggravated by some antivirus programs. Make sure your antivirus is not configured to scan emails. Email scanning in any antivirus should be disabled, for reasons explained here: http://thundercloud.net/infoave/tuto...ning/index.htm If turning off the email scanning function does not resolve your problem, do a trial uninstall of your antivirus. If no improvement, you can always reinstall it. Instead of uninstalling your antivirus, consider upgrading to Windows Live Mail, because it is less prone to suffering bad effects from overly aggressive antivirus programs. http://download.live.com/wlmail -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/profile/VanderMolen "Eric47" <guest@xxxxxx-email.com> wrote in message news:aaf9389c2897fc4d1c0280d20443104c@xxxxxx-gateway.com... | | Re: Pasting into Windows Mail Interesting. I've been running MSE at its defaults. So far no issues, but I'll have to keep an eye on that. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/profile/VanderMolen "PA Bear [MS MVP]" <PABearMVP@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:uyVadhCIKHA.4168@xxxxxx Quote: >A tradition carried on by MS Security Essentials beta in which "Scan all > downloaded...attachments" is a default setting. > > Steve Cochran wrote: Quote: >> Its a tradition. <VBG> >> >> "Gary VanderMolen" <gary@xxxxxx> wrote in message >> news:eGIzHcXHKHA.1492@xxxxxx >> You're very welcome.
