| | Re: how to disable auto reply If the message rule was created in that copy of Windows Mail, it should still be present under Tools, Message Rules, Mail. If you are familiar with editing the registry, have a look here too: HKCU, Software, Microsoft, Windows Mail, Rules. Perhaps the rule was actually set up on your mail provider's webmail site. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/profile/VanderMolen "Paul" <Paul@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:CC1CDD23-9A89-45BE-B76A-0AA6CB188F7D@xxxxxx Quote: > Had set up an out of office message in Windows Mail by means of Message > Rules. | | Re: how to disable auto reply Did you go to Qmail webmail to make sure the auto reply isn't there? Since you are not accustomed to registry editing, be aware that 'HKCU' is a geek abbreviation for HKEY_CURRENT_USER. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/profile/VanderMolen "Paul" <Paul@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:B15BCA62-CC77-4C75-B129-887E6B20AB01@xxxxxx Quote: > Hi Gary > thanks so far > The strange thing is that the Messages Rules are empty, while auto reply > qmail is still activated > I'm not familiar with editing the registry, though may be you can give me a > hint how to get to HKCU, Software, Microsoft, Windows Mail, Rules. > > -- > Kind regards Paul > > > "Gary VanderMolen" wrote: > Quote: >> If the message rule was created in that copy of Windows Mail, it should >> still be present under Tools, Message Rules, Mail. >> >> If you are familiar with editing the registry, have a look here too: >> HKCU, Software, Microsoft, Windows Mail, Rules. >> >> Perhaps the rule was actually set up on your mail provider's webmail site. >> >> -- >> Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) >> http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/profile/VanderMolen >> >> >> "Paul" <Paul@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:CC1CDD23-9A89-45BE-B76A-0AA6CB188F7D@xxxxxx Quote: >> > Had set up an out of office message in Windows Mail by means of Message >> > Rules.
