| | Interesting mail situation-maybe like ghost mail I have two hard drives, one with XP and one with Vista. I change the bios to boot to whichever one I want, and I just noticed something a little strange. I had booted to and was running XP. I had the mail client open, in this case Thunderbird, and got a new mail notice. No mail to be found in the account suggested or any other mail account. Strange, so I rebooted into Vista 5744 and low and behold, there was my mail message. I knew it was the same one, because I had sent it and I knew what time. Why would mail delivered when XP was active be placed into an inbox on the Vista drive. If you are wondering, no I did not get a new mail alert when I started the e-mail client in Vista. The message was just there. Maybe this is related to the ghost messages folks keep talking about. I am going to take the Vista hard drive out and just run the XP one and see if things return to normal. Clark |
