| | Issue getting my mail - Error number 0x800CCC19 I am just using Windows Mail for the first time, and I have set it up to download my Rogers mail, however I only seem to get the first 199 or so that it wants to download from the server (I gather) and then it never goes past that (there are still another 150 waiting to be downloaded) but also as a result of trying to get passed the 199, I constantly am downloading duplicates. I was also experiencing this on Microsoft Outlook 2003 *I am using Windows Vista* Error Messages I get below: "Your POP3 server has not responded in 120 seconds. Would you like to wait another 120 seconds for the server to respond? Account: Rogers Server: pop.broadband.rogers.com" " Account: 'Rogers', Server: 'pop.broadband.rogers.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC19" What do I do to get all my emails, especially since I'm not getting any new ones? Thanks |

| | Re: Issue getting my mail - Error number 0x800CCC19 That typically indicates a 'stuck' email on the server. Log in via webmail (using your browser), sort the messages there by date, delete all the older ones you already have downloaded, plus one more. Try Windows Mail again. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/profile/VanderMolen "Nessie" <Nessie@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:7EF2FF81-B0EE-41FF-8C3D-6201CFE6D03A@xxxxxx Quote: >I am just using Windows Mail for the first time, and I have set it up to > download my Rogers mail, however I only seem to get the first 199 or so that > it wants to download from the server (I gather) and then it never goes past > that (there are still another 150 waiting to be downloaded) but also as a > result of trying to get passed the 199, I constantly am downloading > duplicates. > > I was also experiencing this on Microsoft Outlook 2003 *I am using Windows > Vista* > > Error Messages I get below: > > "Your POP3 server has not responded in 120 seconds. | | RE: Issue getting my mail - Error number 0x800CCC19 Hi Nessie I had this problem earlier and to solve it : if you are with orange you must change your incoming email server to : pop.orangehome.co.uk and your outgoing email server to smtp.orangehome.co.uk "Nessie" wrote: Quote: > I am just using Windows Mail for the first time, and I have set it up to > download my Rogers mail, however I only seem to get the first 199 or so that > it wants to download from the server (I gather) and then it never goes past > that (there are still another 150 waiting to be downloaded) but also as a > result of trying to get passed the 199, I constantly am downloading > duplicates. > > I was also experiencing this on Microsoft Outlook 2003 *I am using Windows > Vista* > > Error Messages I get below: > > "Your POP3 server has not responded in 120 seconds. | | Re: Issue getting my mail - Error number 0x800CCC19 Pete, as you can see from her error message, Nessie is not with Orange. She is with Rogers, a Canadian ISP. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/profile/VanderMolen "Pete" <Pete@newsgroup> wrote in message news:BCAA490F-2559-48B5-B0B4-C0EB4B2129E1@newsgroup Quote: > Hi Nessie > > I had this problem earlier and to solve it : if you are with orange you must > change your incoming email server to : pop.orangehome.co.uk and your outgoing > email server to smtp.orangehome.co.uk > > "Nessie" wrote: > Quote: >> I am just using Windows Mail for the first time, and I have set it up to >> download my Rogers mail, however I only seem to get the first 199 or so that >> it wants to download from the server (I gather) and then it never goes past >> that (there are still another 150 waiting to be downloaded) but also as a >> result of trying to get passed the 199, I constantly am downloading >> duplicates. >> >> I was also experiencing this on Microsoft Outlook 2003 *I am using Windows >> Vista* >> >> Error Messages I get below: >> >> "Your POP3 server has not responded in 120 seconds.
