| Vista 32 bit | Exporting from Windows Mail to Outlook XP My wife is having major problems receiving email through Windows Mail. I have decided to move her to another email client. Her Office version is XP (2002). I have set up her accounts manually on Outlook and have been able to inport her address book to Outlook, but I am unable to import her all of her messages from Win Mail to Outlook. I have tried it a couple of ways, but when I point the import to her Windows Mail Boxes (such as Inbox), I get a message that the Inbox directory is empty. Perhaps I'm doing something impossible? Perhaps Office XP cannot import from the newer program Win Mail? |

| Vista 32 bit | Re: Exporting from Windows Mail to Outlook XP Thanks, PA. Exporting from Windows Mail to Outlook worked. That has taken care of the problem, and Outlook downloads her email quickly. But I do wonder why Windows Mail had problems doing so. Originally, I thought it was because she had a few large attachments in her mail. I used webmail to download them (I recognized them as safe), and then delete them from the webmail website, but still, Windows Mail had problems downloading the rest ... so it wasn't large attachments. It will probably take a few days for my non-techy wife get used to using Outlook, but I think she'll have it down in no time. Again, thank you very much. |
