Is there any way to get my old messages from my old hard drive to the windows mail on my new hard drive b/c when they were transfered to windows mail the first time they were all deleted from my live account but are still sitting in windows live on other hard drive. |

| | Re: old emails If you can connect the old hard drive to your current computer, simply navigate to the Windows Mail store folders and drag and drop the messages (.EML files) into Windows Mail. | | Re: old emails Or copy the entire message store directory from the old computer to a subdirectory under Documents (to make sure that there aren't permissions issues) and then use File | Import | Messages and point to that directory. steve "Hal Hostetler [MVP-P/I]" <hhh@newsgroup> wrote in message news:B436AD79-699E-40DC-9997-67939AC68B55@newsgroup Quote: > If you can connect the old hard drive to your current computer, simply > navigate to the Windows Mail store folders and drag and drop the messages > (.EML files) into Windows Mail. > > Hal > -- > Hal Hostetler, CPBE > Senior Engineer/MIS -- MS MVP-Print/Imaging -- WA7BGX > www.kvoa.com -- KVOA Television, Tucson, AZ. > Live at Hot Licks - www.badnewsbluesband.com > > "TLM" <TLM@newsgroup> wrote in message > news:ACBEEE41-358B-40E3-92A2-A2A59B3FC7D0@newsgroup Quote: >> OK so I can now send and receive emails but i have one more issue. | | Re: old emails By default Windows Mail keeps the message files in the following directory: C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail\... You can have Windows Mail import from that directory on your old hard drive. -- Gary VanderMolen, Microsoft MVP (Mail) http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/profile/VanderMolen "TLM" <TLM@newsgroup> wrote in message news:ACBEEE41-358B-40E3-92A2-A2A59B3FC7D0@newsgroup Quote: > OK so I can now send and receive emails but i have one more issue.
