    Who is your mail provider?
Can you go to their webmail services and after logging in can you
see recent incoming messages waiting to be downloaded?

Can you send a test message from that same email account (not
    from a different email account)?

When you say "it wont go through", is there an error message or non-
delivery notice? Does the test message arrive in your webmail?

Go to your email program make sure you have the right port settings look in
last tab for out going mail (smtp) and incoming (pop3) you need the
correct numbers there and both boxes neeeds to have a check in them..

I can't recieve mail and have no error message either. I've done all that has
been mentioned in this post. And I've deleted windows mail and restored
windows mail and can still not recieve any mail at all. Yes I can read it on
    the webmail server. Any ideas?

Did you use to use outlook express? if so use the same settings.. clk on
tools then Accounts then clk on properties PUT a check in box saying INCUDE
this account when recieving mail etc THEN clk on advance tap. ON MY set up on
OUT going mail (smtp) the number is 465 and on INCOMING mail (pop3) is 995
and be sure both boxes is checked under each of them,, if this doesn't work
then don't know what else to do.. good luck!!!

What happens when you click on Send /Receive? Does it go through the
motions of contacting the server? Afterwards does it say "No new messages"
    in the status bar?
