    windows email log in

Hello, I am having difficulty with windows email. When I open it it says
that I need a user name and password. My internet provider is AT&T. I don't
have a clue to even find what this user name and password is. I have not
ever needed one before. I have tried ever user name and password I have ever
    used......nothing works. Frustrating.

You have to setup your email in Windows Mail - Tools - Accounts. You will
need to have some specific info for your email provider - who is that? What
is the part of your email address after the @ symbol - we may be able to
    help you.

    Re: windows email log in

It seems that someone did you the favor of setting up Windows Mail for you.
So now something messed up and you don't know how to do it yourself. It
might be your antivirus software that is causing the problem; some of them
cause sporadic difficulties that are not explained logically. What antivirus
    program do you use?

Other than possibly suggesting that you do something about your AV program,
people here probably cannot help you if you don't know the user name and
password. You probably need to get help from AT&T. You can also take
slk759's advice and post a reply here with the portion of your email address
after the @; don't post the entire email address because spammers will use
it. Since you don't know the password, you must get the password from the
provider of the email account and if the provider is not AT&T then the
portion of your email address after the @ will help someone guide you to
whoever you do need to call.

If you don't know your username and password you will have to ask
    your provider.
