Vista - cant send or recieve mail

it tells me this error message every time someone help?

The host 'pop3.aol.com' could not be found. Please verify that you have
entered the server name correctly.
Account: 'brendan', Server: 'pop3.aol.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110,
Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D

and

The host 'stmp.aol.com' could not be found. Please verify that you have
entered the server name correctly.
Subject 'brendan paper', Account: 'brendan', Server: 'stmp.aol.com',
Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number:
0x800CCC0D

Wrong server names, wrong ports. Follow AOL's instructions:
http://postmaster.aol.com/imap/express.html

Those instructions were written for Outlook Express, but
Windows Mail uses the same settings as Outlook Express.

PS - when I try to send an email, this is the message that pops up:

You didn't follow all of the instructions in that link...
Make sure you change the port numbers and check SSL, in Step 7.
and click on OK.

Don't assume that your issue is identical to someone else's.
Do you get an error message when you try to send or receive? If so,
right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here.
We can't do much troubleshooting without the complete error message.

and comcast says it is a microsoft issue..I receive e-mail ok but cannot
