We can't do much troubleshooting without the complete error message. -- Gary VanderMolen, Microsoft MVP (Mail) http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/def...le/vandermolen "gjar" <gjar@newsgroup> wrote in message news:C0310309-4F7F-48A9-944A-5F65D49578F5@newsgroup Quote: > when i go to my e-mail, it says authorizing in the bottom left hand corner. > then a pop up comes on and ask for users name and password. i've , in the > pass never had to deal with this. when i put my users name and pass word in, > a error box pops up.How can this be correctede |

| | RE: e-mail want connect. I have been having the same problem for about a week. It says "authorizing" but nothing happens. Then it says "Your POP3 server has not responded in 60 seconds." Later at night, it will work or early in the morning, so I'm thinking it must be Hughes Net. | | Re: e-mail want connect. That symptom can be caused by interference from an antivirus program. Which antivirus are you running? As a minimum, email scanning in the antivirus should be turned off, although that may not be sufficient to eliminate all bad effects. In a worst case scenario, your antivirus may need to be uninstalled. Email scanning in any antivirus should be disabled, for reasons explained here: http://thundercloud.net/infoave/tuto...ning/index.htm -- Gary VanderMolen, Microsoft MVP (Mail) http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/def...le/vandermolen "nene" <nene@newsgroup> wrote in message news:33E76005-39F1-458E-9827-E7474EE6CB74@newsgroup Quote: >I have been having the same problem for about a week.
