RE:message will not move to sky mail......
I'm back to square one as far as sending the mail to sky mail. Would you
give me the details to configure
my mail account so it sends from the Sky SMTP server.

Thank you for your time

Re: Gary VanderMolen, Microsoft MVP (Mail)

The instructions for setting up a Sky email account are here.
http://www.skyuser.co.uk/tutorials/685.html

However, if you still want to receive from pop.ntlworld.com, and only
use Sky for sending, do as follows:

1. In Windows Mail go to Tools, Accounts, select your pop.ntlworld.com
account, click Properties, Servers. Change the name of the outgoing (SMTP)
server to smtp.tools.sky.com. Do not change the incoming server. Also,
make sure that the "My server requires authentication" option is checked.
Click the adjacent "Settings" button. Select "Log on using"
then enter your Sky.com email address, and the associated password.
Click OK.

2. Go to the Advanced tab and change the port number for the
outgoing (SMTP) server from 25 to 465, and enable the associated
SSL option. Again, do not change any receive settings.
Click OK. Try sending.

Re: Gary VanderMolen, Microsoft MVP (Mail)

I have got rid of the ntl username and just relying on sky. I sent all my
contacts the change of address. Makes life a bit simpler. Thanks again Gary
for your assistance.
