    Unable to send to Newsgroup

When I try to reply to a group, I got a message 'The Message could not be
sent. No sender was specified. Please check your News Account information.'
The server settings are: pop.gmail.com and smtp.gmail.com. The Name and
    E-mail address are all filled.

    Please any help. Thanks

Re: Unable to send to Newsgroup

You need to set up a newsreader before you can access newsgroups.

Setting up Windows Mail (Vista) to access Microsoft newsgroups:

    Thank you,

as per the instruction, I set up the Windows mail for subscribing to the
Microsoft Newsgroups and I could see one of the Newsgroup in Windows mail.
But still I could not send a message to my primary Newsgroup.

    Thank you

Re: Unable to send to Newsgroup

What is your primary newsgroup? MSNews is a news server with 2000+
newsgroups. Don't confuse a newsgroup with a news server, in case you are.

Since you posted using the Web interface, copy and paste this link into
your browser's address bar. I should bring you right back here via Windows
    Mail.

I mean 'primary newsgroup' the Newsgroup created by a Professor for
discussion on a course for students.

Re: Unable to send to Newsgroup

    Which tells me nothing.

    You need:

1: The name of the newsgroup, (Like Professor Joe's Group).

2: The name of a news server that carries that specific newsgroup. (MSNews
    will not).

If your professor created the group, he/she should be able to give you
    this information.

Re: Unable to send to Newsgroup

    Thank you Bruce

I have the names of the News Server and Newsgroup. I can view all the
messages sent by the group members but when I want to reply to the group by
clicking on 'Reply Group' button, I got the error message "The message could
not be sent. No sender was specified. Please check your news account
    configuration."

I think this clarifies my problem I faced.

    Thank you

Note that you would have gotten help faster if you had said that ("Newsgroup
created by a Professor") in your original question.
