Re: How can I recover my .dbx files?

If the import method into Outlook didn't work, then there is no way to
directly import from the OE message store. You could extract the messages
from the dbx files and them import those, but that would require a 3rd party
extraction tool (see www.oehelp.com). You could then drag those messages
into Windows Mail and then import them into Outlook from Windows Mail.

I don't know any other way to do it at this point.

Re: How can I recover my .dbx files?

Thanks Steve.
The import method works: Outlook tries to import mails from OE and I get a
'1 on 1 message imported' msg. Do you know where (folder) it looks to import
OE messages?
Obviously I don't have OE on my PC any longer, but I keep a copy of all .dbx
files.
thanks

Max

Re: How can I recover my .dbx files?

Hi Max,

I think Outlook is going to look where you point it for the messages. Is
there not a Browse button?

Also, every Windows computer has OE on it. You can't uninstall it above
Win9x.

Well your PC clock is only 25 hours fast.

No wonder it will not work, do you still have the box it came in, if so?
Then use it.
