Adding email addresses in the (To) part of the email

I need help. I just got Windows Mail and I used to have outlook at my old
work. In the "To" part of the email, after you type in email address maybe 3
or 4 times they are suppose to be "completed" so you do not have to type in
the rest of it. I tried to type in all of my email address 3 or 4 times from
my address book. But in all of my new emails now, they do not complete the
email address. Tell me how to do it if you understand my question because its
a weird one. But please help!

Re: Adding email addresses in the (To) part of the email

Windows Mail auto-completes from a separate list of 29 addresses you type
in, not from your contacts. This list is stored in the registry.

To retrieve addresses from your contacts folder, click on the To: button.

This is one of the features that works properly in the newer Windows Live
    Mail.

What??? What is a list of 29 addresses ? I am confused. I didn't mean just
the contacts , I mean even people that I write to a lot don't even auto
complete to it? How can I get that to work?

he auto-complete function doesn't work well in Windows Mail.
If that function is important to you, upgrade to Windows Live Mail
    where it works perfectly:

Re: Adding email addresses in the (To) part of the email

WinMail keeps a list in the registry of the last 29 addresses you entered
into the To field. Only these will auto-complete. The list will change as
you enter new addresses, but never remember more than the last 29.

Re: Adding email addresses in the (To) part of the email

Well I have windows live mial. But the point of having windows mail is to
have something for the desktop not on the internet like comcast, yahoo,
    hotmail etc.

Is windows hotmail live an upgraded verison of windows mail? if so thats
    weird.

Windows Mail is a desktop program.
Windows Live Mail is a desktop program.
Windows Live Hotmail is the webmail service you normally access with a web
browser. But you can access your Hotmail account using either WM (via POP3)
or WLM (POP3 or http DeltaSync).
