Hotmail Plus in Windows Mail

I currently subscribe to Hotmail Plus (paid account).
I was able to connect to Hotmail servers in Outlook Express.
Can I still connect via Windows Mail? I've seen no definitive answers in
this group.
I don't want to use Window Live Mail Desktop. I am currently using Outlook
2007 to access my Hotmail but it is much slower than what I was used to in
OE.

Also, the FIND function in WM seems to have been limited. In OE I could do
a FIND...MESSAGE IN THIS FOLDER but I don't see that in WM. That was very
useful for searching through messages in a newsgroup without popping open
another window with search results. I liked the old way of hitting F3 for
the next search match.

Thanks,
Tom

Re: Hotmail Plus in Windows Mail

Access to MSN/Hotmail accounts is not currently available in Windows Mail,
Tom. For now, you'll have to use OL or Windows Live Mail Desktop to access
the account.

Re: Hotmail Plus in Windows Mail

Good news for you, I just removed the latest beta of Windows Live Mail
Desktop, and the features are even limited.

You can download from here:
http://ideas.live.com/programpage.as...7-e36dd191a9f4

For questions, here is the newsgroup:
microsoft.public.windows.live.mail.desktop

So once we could use no more than two clients (OE and Outlook) for all
messaging, now we might end up with 3 clients.

And if we are using Vista and have both POP3 and HTTP mail accounts, we need
at least two mail clients - Windows Mail and WLMD.

Ummm, a good way for complicating our simple life. I was dreaming to use
one email client, LOL.

Re: Hotmail Plus in Windows Mail

I'm trying to get the Hot Pop solution to work. I keep getting this error:

Account: '127.0.0.1', Server: '127.0.0.1', Protocol: POP3, Server Response:
'-ERR Don't understand that command', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server
Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC18

Any thoughts? Thanks.
