| | Open mail in a normal window from IE7 ? I can open the mail program in a "normal" window by clicking on it's shortcut in the quick run bar but opening it from IE7 results in it being minimized to the task bar. is there a way to open in a normal window from the IE7 tool bar icon? Thanks, Bob |

| | Re: Open mail in a normal window from IE7 ? Is your question about clicking the "Read Mail" button on Internet Explorer 7? If so, that will open the default mail program in a normal window. If you do not see that behavior, I would suspect you have several mail clients installed and the default mail client is not set to Windows Mail. -- Jim Pickering MVP-Windows Mail applications Please reply only to the newsgroup. Clicking the "read mail" button on IE7 causes Windows Mail to open minimized to the task bar. When I had XP and IE7 the mail program always opened in a normal window. No idea why that's changed now. | | Re: Open mail in a normal window from IE7 ? I had the same problem. When I clicked on Read Mail in IE7 (with Vista Windows Email), the window didn't open as a normal window. It was minimized to the Task Bar. Also, my Messages Received were not automatically downloading when I opened Windows Mail. To fix it, try this: In Windows Mail, go to Tools, Options, General Tab. Make sure that there is a checkmark in the box for "Automatically display folders with unread messages." Hope this helps.
