| | Contacts Pane in Windows Mail main page Under Outlook Express I was used to displaying the list of contacts (my address book) in the lower left quadrant of my main page, under where the accounts and newsgroups were listed. In Windows Mail, despite playing with the "View" button until I am blue in the face, I cannot find a way to list my contacts down there on the main page. Is it possible? How? -- - |

| | Re: Contacts Pane in Windows Mail main page Nope. Its gone. You can add contacts to the Sidebar or open them in a separate window. Click the Contacts Icon on the toolbar to open them up. steve "Kansaskeith" <Kansaskeith@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:C8B994F8-BAA7-4BE8-AF23-1DA24A87B1D2@microsoft.com... > Under Outlook Express I was used to displaying the list of contacts (my > address book) in the lower left quadrant of my main page, under where the > accounts and newsgroups were listed. > > In Windows Mail, despite playing with the "View" button until I am blue in > the face, I cannot find a way to list my contacts down there on the main > page. | | RE: Contacts Pane in Windows Mail main page My sister who has memory problems now has a big stumbling block. We just purchased a new computer for her and she loves e-mails. I had no idea outlook express would not be an option, since she could use it. Is there no way to reload express on a vista computer???? | | Re: Contacts Pane in Windows Mail main page Others have already advised you how to proceed with Vista's mail offerings. Windows Mail is not all that different from OE. Depending on how severe your sister's learning disability is, it may be worthwhile to look at some alternatives. If you have access to the services of a good tech, he could a) replace Vista with XP, or b) add XP in a dual-boot environment with Vista.
