still problems with importing messages

hi

Like the earlier user, when I try to import into Windows mail from a saved
OE6 identity I get the message

they don't exist or are being used by
> another program.

The OE folder is 160MB so I guess they are they. They are not read only. Any
other suggestions ?

Re: still problems with importing messages

Make sure folders.dbx is in the directory and make sure its under your User
Profile (copy the entire directory to Documents) and then use the Import
Wizard and choose to import from a directory and make sure the path
specified is the actual path you chose when you Browsed, as there is a
glitch there sometimes in the actual path.

If it still fails, then you can try opening the dbx files with Notepad and
seeing if they are blank or actually have message pieces in them. If they
appear to have message pieces in them. then your only recourse is a 3rd
party extraction program, such as my DBXpress program
(www.oehelp.com/DBXpress/)

I have this working for my OEX program (www.oehelp.com/OEX/) where you can
point to any non-corrupt dbx file and import it into WinMail, but I haven't
finished debugging it yet.
