| | Webmail with Windows Mail Having seen many posts about people having trouble getting GMail, Hotmail, Yahoo etc with the new Windows Mail, I just thought, now that I've upgraded and made sure it works like it did in XP, I use a program called ChoiceMail which, although I bought it as an anti SPAM program, works great as a local mail server. It brings all your web mail based accounts into your desktop just as though they were pop accounts and, if you want to be able to use another mail program as well, you can "leave the mail on the server" and it remains in the Choicemail "server" on your machine so you can re-download it with your other program. I use it for this purpose as I prefer using Windows Mail for my actual mailing but need to use Outlook for syncing. Anyway, I've used ChoiceMail for a couple of years now and just love how easily it configures things for you. Unless they've changed their policy, you can download it and try it for a couple of weeks before buying. Tim |
