Vista - Is Thunderbird 1.5.0.9 useable in Vista?

Hi,

I am trying to install Thunderbird 1.5.0.9 on Vista however I allow
it when the window pops up User Account Control then it pop's up a dos window
for a spit second and vanishes and nothing happens. Anyone have and ideas
what may happen?

Yes, Tbird1.5 works flawlessly with Vista. In fact,it really is the only
imported mail program I can get to work in Vista. I have tried gmail and
Outlook. No luck having checked all server settings many times. One install
of Tbird and it was up and running!! Hang in there Tbird WILL work

Hi,

Thunderbird 1.5.0.x - compatible, although Penn Online Directory (LDAP)
searches do not work
It is expected that authenticated LDAP searches will be fixed in the release
versions of Thunderbird 2.x, though nightly builds as of late December 2006
remain non-functional
