| | IMAP and Junk Email Hi, The spam filter in Windows Mail is great. It moves the emails from the inbox to the junk email folder. It does this for IMAP accounts as well, however it does not purge the emails from the inbox, so all the spam remains "deleted" in the inbox. This appears as strikethrough in earlier version of outlook express. These spam emails also gets downloaded in the inbox where it's setup as POP3. Any way to have Windows Mail "purge" these emails as well? Thanks, Eran |

| | Re: IMAP and Junk Email Eran, I tryed many times to filter spam from my IMAP server. However, it only seems to work with the local folders. How do you did it? | | Re: IMAP and Junk Email Hi, You need to setup your inbox to download all messages, not just the headers. Otherwise it will only do it when you click on the email. You may also want to check "include this account when receiving mail or synchronizing". Even though you don't see any deleted (strikethrough) items, don't forget to "purge" your IMAP inbox before downloading via POP3 for the same email account, otherwise you will run into the same problem that I originally posted.
