Contacts in Windows Mail

How do I add a new contact to my list. When opening 'Contacts' in Windows
Mail I do not have a 'New Contact' option. I have just installed Vista Home
Premium and have my original contact list ok. I can add contact from
incoming mail but don't always have mail to add from.

Re: Contacts in Windows Mail

If you open the contacts from WinMail, then there is a toolbar under the
address bar at the top and there is a New Contact button there.

You can also right click in the list and choose New | Contact.

Re: Contacts in Windows Mail

when you open the CONTACTS from the TOOLS menu.
look in the left column for the folder CONTACTS.
right click on the folder and click on Properties and then on Customize.
select CONTACTS from the drop down list.
click APPLY, and OK out.
then the ADD NEW should show up.

Re: Contacts in Windows Mail

If you open up your contacts, you should have this menu bar that shows New Contact:

Check the address bar and see that you are in the correct location.

Your contacts are being opened in some other program.
Click Start.
In the Search box type
*.contact
and press <Enter>.
Right click on a contact and select Open with.
Select Windows Contacts

Re: Contacts in Windows Mail

Oh THANK YOU! I had the same problem and had tried everything else I could
find - nothing worked including the other suggestions. I never would have
tripped over this solution!
