opening attachments

Transferred settings from laptop XP to new desktop running Vista home
premium. I can't open or send attachments. Even when I save an attachment to
disk, a window pops up saying the program might be corrupted. can someone
please tell me how to fix this problem?

Thanks,
Patrick

Re: opening attachments

Turn off email scanning of your antivirus software. See
www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3 same for WinMail as OE.

If that doesn't fix it, then check your settings under Tools | Options |
Security relative to attachments.
