| | Select Recipiets dialogue box is empty when creating mail I imported my contacts from Outlook Express on my old computer to Windows Mail on my new computer. When I click the Contacts button in Windows mail, my contacts are there (in the Contacts folder under my user name) and I can right-click and send email. However, when I try to send mail by clicking the Create Mail button and then click the To button, the Select Recipients dialog box is completely empty. Any ideas? |

| | RE: Select Recipiets dialogue box is empty when creating mail I have an answer to my own question. I have a new Toshiba laptop that came preloaded with McAfee Anti-Virus. I read in previous notes in this group that this particular version of McAfee can cause all sorts of problems. McAfee wasn't letting me send mail from Windows Mail--said my notes were unsafe. I uninstalled McAfee and then reinstalled from the Comcast website. That solved the mail sending problem and, to my surprise, solved the Contacts problem too! | | Re: Select Recipiets dialogue box is empty when creating mail Thanks for the feedback. Nice of the antivirus people to test their software and Toshiba as well. steve "Sally Terris" <SallyTerris@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:73614101-AE3D-4E58-B86B-DD4407088E29@microsoft.com... > > I have an answer to my own question.
