Vista - Doesnt show my emails

The problem is that the antivirus programs are causing the problem and
people like you don't understand the situation. You can turn off email
scanning and your antivirus will still protect you.

This software sucks!!! It doesn't meet the basic requirements of common law
that a product meet a basic warranty for fitness for its intended purpose.
Its time to call Milberg Weis Berach et al. I don't care if Bill Gates is the
richest man in this solar system, Vista Windows Mail is the biggest consumer
fraud perpetrated on this earthboud buying public.

Just realize that there are always wrinkles like this when
a new OS is first released. Most users are having only minimal
problems. Of course the small minority having problems are
screaming the loudest and posting here.

You don't need to "scan" incoming or outgoing emails, not you don't need
protection. You still need the AV software but just some that doesn't work
against you like McAfee or Norton's.

The base AV software will still protect you if you open an email with a
virus in it automatically. If it doesn't, it's time to get some different AV
software. NOD32 is working fine here.

You do need some kind of antivirus (AV) software, just make sure to
configure it so it doesn't scan incoming or outgoing email.
The thing is, the AV software that came with your new computer
is a limited trial, 60 or 90 days, so you might as well start looking
for a permanent replacement. McAfee and Symantec AV programs
are dissed by us savvy users, for good reasons. I'd recommend
Googling for free AV software such as AVG or Avast.
