| | Windows Vista and SMTP There are a lot of posts as to the problem of email using Outlook in Vista. I personally cannot send any SMTP mail. I have two different accounts configured correctly, one is MSN using the SSL ports. I have Symantec SMTP protection disabled. When I change or try to configure the accounts and test them they usually check out however they always give an error when trying to connect to a SMTP server. I understand Vista has a new revised TCP stack, for any of you very knowledgible as to the TCP protocol in Vista can there be an error somewhere or special settings to configure. The settings for both accounts work perfectly on my XP machine, but not on the Vista machine! |

| | Re: Windows Vista and SMTP I'm not an Outlook expert, but it would be helpful if you tell us which version of Outlook. Also, what is the exact error message?
