Re: windows mail, problem signing in

Which email program, Windows Mail or Microsoft Outlook (which version)?
If you mean Outlook 2002, that is a known bug:

"Stupid security"? Thanks to which no one else can download
your email.
No one but your ISP can help you with a forgotten password.

Re: windows mail, problem signing in

Some antivirus programs corrupt the password file.
Which antivirus are you running?

Sign in to read e-mail.

RE: windows mail, problem signing in

When I sign to read e-mail, a Windows Mail Sign appears and tells me to enter
user name and password. It also comes on and lets me know that my password
is not the same as that entered into windows.

Re: windows mail, problem signing in

The password for your mail server account will most likely be different
than the password for your Windows user profile.

If you meant something different, please explain.
