Vista - Sending Email W/ Attachments from Excel Or Word (Vista)

Okay...just bought a new laptop (vista business) and can't send a word or
excel document as an attachment. The email icon is shaded out and won't allow
me to select it. Same when I use the menu option tabs.

I've already set Windows Mail as my default. Are there any other tips for
getting this to work?

Sounds like its your antivirus software screwing things up. See

Finally was able to get a second and try your suggestion and it didn't help.
I even uninstalled Nortons...and nada.

my bad...i just checked and i now can send attachments via windows mail...

but im still not able to send directly from word or excel.
