No "New Contact Group' option in contacts toolbar?

I searched this NG for other similar posts but don't see any. There is no
"New Contact Group' option in my contacts toolbar? I followed Microsoft's
instruction below?

"1. Open Windows Contacts by clicking the Start button , clicking All
Programs, and then clicking Windows Contacts.
2. On the toolbar, click New Contact Group, type a name in the Group Name
box, and then fill in the boxes on the Contact Group tab and Contact Group
Details tab. You don't have to fill in all the boxes; just type as much
information as you want about the new contact group you are creating".

Thanks for the help - IM

Re: No "New Contact Group' option in contacts toolbar?

In your Contacts Window, right click a blank spot and choose "Customize this
folder". On the Customize tab, under "Use this folder type as a template",
click the dropdown list and choose "Contacts". OK out.
You should now have the correct toolbar options.

Holy Smokes Max! That did the job. Learning in Vista can be a little
vicarious (though challenging and fun) at times, and I'll bet this question
will be asked and answered a million times? Thanks for your excellent help -

Re: No "New Contact Group' option in contacts toolbar?

You're welcome. Glad to help.
And I think the count on this particular issue is up to about a half dozen
or so. So far.
But you're probably right.
