How to read full posts and threads?

All of the message headers in my newsgroups begin with "RE:" and I don't get
to see the original posts or threads. Can someone please tell me what I need
to change in order to get the full threads?

You have to keep downloading the next 300, 500 posts (whatever your client
is set for), until you have gotten to the point where you have downloaded
the original post. If something was posted 2 weeks ago, but you have
downloaded only 1000 posts, the chances are that the original post has not
been grabbed. 1000 posts may only go back 3 days.

Also, if a post came from a news server from another organization, the
original may not have been sent over. In this case you will NEVER see the
original post.

There have been a lot of these here recently that originate from egghead
cafe. We see a lot of posts like "that happened to me too" with no reference
as to what happened or the original post.

Go to Tools | Options | Read and uncheck the option to read xxx headers at a
time.
