| | "Došlo k neznámé chybě" aka "Unexpected error" Hello, I've got problems with Windows Mail - I can't send any email and I also can't delete one corrupted email in my outbox. I saw the rest of this discussion and it seems that there's no solution for this. Does MS work on this problem now? It's very stupid problem, because I can't work now, what is very serious. I don't want to use webmail, it's step behind. So should I use a pirated copy of Outlook? ![]() Of course, I've tried the solutions described above, but nothing works. |

| | Re: "Došlo k neznámé chybě" aka "Unexpected error" Until Microsoft comes out with a fix, use Outlook or Thunderbird. | | RE: "Došlo k neznámé chybě" aka "Unexpected error" MS doesn't have a root cause solution or complete fix but if you call them on the phone & explain the situation, an MS Tech. will walk you thru the band-aid solution to fix the stuck header in WM outbox and start sending again. Online chat with them might work too. T "Ohmy" wrote: > Hello, I've got problems with Windows Mail - I can't send any email and I > also can't delete one corrupted email in my outbox. | | RE: "Došlo k neznámé chybě" aka "Unexpected error" I am having the very same problem. Some of the threads here have said OE will not work in Vista, however, I loaded my Office 2003 and the Outlook is working just fine there. It has been a real pain. Let me know if you get it fixed. | | Re: "Došlo k neznámé chybě" aka "Unexpected error" Be careful to distinguish between OE (Outlook Express) and Outlook. Outlook 2003 and later should work fine in Vista. Outlook Express (OE) will not install in Vista. | | Re: "Došlo k neznámé chybě" aka "Unexpected error" You can try with removing the account, close and reopen WinMail, and then remove the message and add it back again. Otherwise, the only fix is to first turn of any antivirus scanning of email and then wipe out everthing by moving the files are subdirectories in the Windows Mail directory to another one. That will then start WinMail fresh. steve "Ohmy" <Ohmy@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:0A7E528D-B50E-48ED-B984-443F7441C39B@microsoft.com... > Hello, I've got problems with Windows Mail - I can't send any email and I > also can't delete one corrupted email in my outbox. Mark it as read and try deleting it. 2. Try repairing the database with WMUtil from www.oehelp.com 3. There are two copies of WindowsMail.MSMessageStore, One in %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Microsoft\Windows Mail and one in %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Microsoft\Windows Mail\Backup\New If you delete both of these the database will be rebuilt. However, while no messages should be lost, some may be downloaded again and you may lose some record of which have been read. I recommend that you only do this when they are causing you trouble, like when they are in the Outbox. Otherwise I now just mark them as read and ignore them. -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE/WM http://www.fjsmjs.com Answer in newsgroup. Don't expect an answer to email. |

| | Re: "Došlo k neznámé chybě" aka "Unexpected error" Frank - As you write, I've experienced loss of single e-mails and other issues if you just delete 'messagestore' trying to fix. MS recommends copying the inbox/sentbox & then deleting & regenerating the whole folder 'Windows Mail" of the "Microsoft" folder. I've done that twice now without other trouble.
