Unable to send or recieve email in windows mail

I am really struggling to undrstand what the problem is with Windows Mail. I
have set up my POP account to feed into Windows Mail. Have enabled everything
but still can't recieve or sne demails in WMail....Help what else shoulf I be
doing? I have ried different ports but still nothing. The send/receive box
comes up and says connecting to Pop.googlemail.com but no joy. This is
getting really frustrating.

Thank you to anyone who can guide me.

You shouldn't be trying different ports. Use only the ports and settings
designated by your mail provider:

Re: Unable to send or recieve email in windows mail

Since you are using Gmail/ Googlemail - have you activated the POP feature
within Gmail/ Googlemail's Settings?? I believe that the POP download option
will be available only "after" you activate it on the web settings.

Also, it would be helpful if you post any error messages or notifications.
