Cannot Send Mail (task window not even showing send mail)

I can recieve but not send. If I select the send option from send/recieve,
it shows no tasks for sending e-mail, but says all tasks were completed
successfully. Trying to send on exit does not work either. It does not show
any errors, only says that all taks were completed, but it doesn't send.

The sign in for my mail server is set up and I have it set up to sign in on
outgoing mail as well.

My Firewall/antivirus is Trendmicro Internet security 2007.

Any ideas? thanks.

Re: Cannot Send Mail (task window not even showing send mail)

Try it after uninstalling Trendmicro Internet Security.

Re: Cannot Send Mail (task window not even showing send mail)

I cannot send even if I disable trend micro

Uninstalling is not an option.

Re: Cannot Send Mail (task window not even showing send mail)

Disabling PC-cillian does not fix the problem.

The problem is still that the Windows mail task window does not show a task
for sending mail. It only shows a task for recieving e-mail.
