| | Open Windows Mail maximized Is there any way I can have Windows Mail open maximized? I've tried all the things I have done in the past but nothing seems to work. It even reverts back to normal size (small) when the screen saver comes on and I interrupt the screen saver. Thanks, Gary -- ~~~~~ When life hands you Lemons, ask for Tequila and Salt then call me over !!!!! |

| | Re: Open Windows Mail maximized Weird...for me WinMail will remember maximized or windowed size and position. The first thing I'd do is disable that screensaver! ;-) The relevant registry entry is: "BrowserPos" under the key: "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Mail" here are two sample values: Win: "BrowserPos"=hex:2c,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,01,00,00,00,ff,ff,ff,ff,ff,ff,ff,ff,\ ff,ff,ff,ff,ff,ff,ff,ff,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,1a,03,00,00,ce,01,00,00 Max: "BrowserPos"=hex:2c,00,00,00,02,00,00,00,03,00,00,00,00,83,ff,ff,00,83,ff,ff,\ ff,ff,ff,ff,ff,ff,ff,ff,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,1a,03,00,00,ce,01,00,00 Though several of the bytes vary, the crucial one is at offset 0x0008, it is '01' for windowed and '03' for maximized. You could try editing it manually while WinMail is closed -- I closed it windowed, changed the byte from 01 to 03, and it opened maximized. If you want to dig deeper, use RegMon to moniter the key & see if WinMail is reading & writing to it sucessfully. -- Good Luck, Keith Microsoft MVP [Windows XP Shell/User] "Gary Knight" <g.l.knight@comcast.net> wrote in message news:uSX16hxcHHA.1508@TK2MSFTNGP06.phx.gbl... > Is there any way I can have Windows Mail open maximized?
