how to set sign in

hi, i like to be able to have to sign in instead of it just open i don't
want other people to have it so easy to get to my email so if you could tell
me what steps i take to do it i went in to tools, edit and file and i really
don't know where to go i don't want my email just opening i want it to ask
for my password please help me

I take it that other people use your computer?
Create another Windows user account: Control Panel, Users Accounts.
If you haven't done so already, add a password to your user account.
Then when you are done using the computer, switch to the other
user account: Start, click the arrow to the right of the lock, Switch User.
