| | View contacts on left side I just upgraded to Vista. Is there a way to view my contacts under Inbox, Outbox, like in Outlook Express? When I create mail and start to type the email address it used to fill in for me. Now nothing happens when I start to type in the To: box. Can I fix that too? Thanks |

Once you have sent to an address, the next time you send to the same address it should auto-complete. Also, some people are able to type the first three letters, then press Tab, and it auto-completes the rest. -- Gary VanderMolen |

| | Re: View contacts on left side You can't go back to OE unless you install Windows XP. Some people dual-boot between XP and Vista. | | Re: View contacts on left side I have come to the conclusion that installing Vista is one of the biggest mistakes I have made. Why did Microsoft ruin a good program like Outlook Express? So many other things are not working either. Thanks for your reply. | | Re: View contacts on left side You can install VPC and XP that way and then use OE. | | Re: View contacts on left side Yes, I do have a check mark in automatically complete address when composing but I guess that does not work. I can't imagine anyone wanting to boot to two different operating systems, especially to use a different email program. If I wanted that I would buy a Mac and boot to XP if I had to for some reason. Just wish I would have known about the change in the email before making the upgrade (or downgrade the way I see it).
