Is there a way to have 2 profiles for your email.
Like in the old outlook express I could have my own email account and my
wife could have her own. When you opened outlook express a screen came up and
you selected which profile you would like.

Not by default.
The design intent is different Vista logon profiles for different Windows Mail accounts.

You can create folders and use rules.

No, Windows Mail did away with profiles.
You have three choices:
1. Put both email accounts under one user, but have message rules which
will direct incoming mail into separate folders.
2. Set up separate Windows user logins.
3. Purchase a third party add-on:

Gary, I have a very similar problem when using 2 accounts, especially with
mail for my wife and I. If she is logged in and using the computer, she can
send and recieve mail w/out difficulty, but when she is logged off and I am
on the system, all her mail comes to my inbox..If no one is logged in, all
mail comes to my in-box, despite checking all pop-server and smtp server info
was correctly listed for each of us.. Very frustrating, also spell checker
will not work in windows mail, get some kind of error about "cannot find
english dictionary..or something similar.. I have recently installed windows
office xp, and outlook express is not responding any better than the default
windows mail..Does it mess things up to have 2 mail servers for same
accounts, i/e windows mail AND outlook express??? if so which one should I
remove, and how is that done?? any help is GREATLY appreciated. Hope to get
this vista environment figured out before my wife puts this PC in a garage
sale, and we go broke buying a MAC!!!

It isn't clear to me what you mean by "logged in".
Do you and your wife have separate Windows user logins?

It isn't possible for no one to be logged in or else the computer would be
'locked' and unusable.

In the main Windows Mail screen go to Tools, Options, Spelling.
Select English and click on Apply.

I think you mean Outlook rather than Outlook Express.
Outlook 2002 (part of Office XP) is not fully compatible with Vista, see

Having two mail programs complicates things somewhat,
since only one program can be the default mail program.
The default mail program will always handle stuff like any
web page MAILTO links you click on.
Generally speaking, you shouldn't use both programs to
download mail from the same mail account. If you need to
do that, it requires setting both mail programs to leave a copy
of all emails on the server, which can cause other problems.
As an alternative, you could use Windows Mail to check
your wife's mail, and use Outlook to check your mail.
